The Instincts (Part 1)

When a young boy is kidnapped in Las Vegas by what appears to be a woman having a psychotic attack, Reid begins to have dreams that force him to recall long-forgotten memories from his childhood as he investigates the case. Ultimately Reid figures out that the woman was someone who after being released from a mental hospital, got pregnant and went off of her medication. After a seven-day evaluation, the baby was taken from her and she snapped, believing any child she encountered was her baby and breastfeeding them, then killing them after seven days. The team track her down as she appears to be about to burn the latest victim to death, but Reid finds the boy unharmed and the team discovers all she was holding was a bundle of toys. The child is reunited with his parents while in Reid's nightmares, he sees his father standing over the body of a dead boy who matches a real unsolved murder.
