The 1988 murder of a Philadelphia news anchor is investigated after it is determined she was killed before she was able to report on a scandal involving a local factory's deadly working conditions. Eventually the team learns that she was murdered by her boss and friend who didn't want to air the story and he is arrested. At the end, the story she was trying to expose is finally aired and the factory is shut down.
