Blood Ties

Orion doesn't trust his ears when his Associate Kira tells him she is going to quit her job and marry. How can she do that to him? As a lone vampire he needs her as a connection to the world by day and moreover he is deeply attracted to Kira. As it turns out Kira's husband-to-be wants to kill Orion and Kira in reality, which is quite a shock for her. Even worse, during the gunfight Kira is severely injured by a glass sliver and lies dying. Orion's only chance at keeping his love by his side is to make her a vampire like him.'
