Back from a secondment at Scotland Yard, Twitten is alarmed to find Brunswick in a deep depression. To cheer him up he arranges for Brunswick's favourite crime reporter, Harry Jupiter, to interview him. But when Steine takes Jupiter to Brighton Pier, disaster ensues and Brunswick's thoughts turn to murder.
