Lynne Truss's cop comedy set in 1950s Brighton. Overnight, crime in Brighton has stopped. Inspector Steine takes it at face value, but Mrs Groynes, the station's Cockney charlady, is desperate to resurrect the good old days of villainy. Then a matinee at the Hippodrome gives her an idea.
