Hannah Garvey thought she had what she wanted in Chicago. A busy job in advertising in a bustling city, numerous relationships each able to change her life (and her decor). Then one day she realizes shes unhappy. Some call it burn out, some a midlife crisis, but Hannah quits her job and heads for the Missouri Ozarks. Shes ready to slow down and a new job as manager of a retirement development sounds idealuntil a dead body is found.

Suddenly, Hannahs quiet life is nowhere to be found. Handsome sheriff David Hendrickson is sent to investigate and with the help of all the senior-citizen would-be detectives, its just a matter of time before a killer is caughtand until Hannah admits her feelings for David, a younger man.
